Elon Musk Projects $15.5 Billion in Revenue for SpaceX in 2025
June 4, 2025 — Cape Canaveral, FL —Elon Musk stated on Tuesday that SpaceX is on track to gain about $15.5 billion in revenue in 2025, mainly from its Starlink service and launches for commercial clients.
According to Musk’s post on X (previously known as Twitter), NASA will provide about $1.1 billion, while the rest comes from private companies and customers online. If the company meets this target, it would see a big rise from the $11–13 billion in revenue that it is estimated to have in 2024.

Musk said Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet business, is anticipated to bring in $12.3 billion in 2022, compared to $7.8 billion in 2021. In late 2023, Starlink made enough profit to cover its expenses and now is used by more than five million people worldwide.
As well as adding new satellite services, SpaceX aims to launch more rockets per year. Last year, 134 launches were made by the company, and it plans to do up to 170 missions in 2025 with the help of its reusable Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets.
According to Musk in the post, most of Tesla’s income is from commercial clients, not from government deals.
If SpaceX follows current trends, its revenue in 2025 will be nearly at NASA’s planned budget for 2026, pointing to how SpaceX is now operating on a bigger scale than many government agencies.
SpaceX is in the lead among private space companies, providing services for space delivery and internet worldwide. Sending humans to Mars and growing its Starship program for deeper space missions are among the company’s long-term ambitions.
No further details about the finances were given, and SpaceX, which is still a private company, has not confirmed the numbers publicly.
