A major change in the field of logistics technology: Australian software giant WiseTech Global has agreed to purchase U.S.-based logistics technology E2open for $2.1 billion. This all-cash acquisition is WiseTech’s biggest to date and will increase its presence in the field of end-to-end logistics.

WiseTech will pay E2open shareholders $3.30 per share under the agreement. This amount reflects a 24.5% premium over E2open’s previous closing price. The companies expect to complete the deal by Q2 2025. Finalization depends on regulatory approval and standard closing conditions.

WiseTech will finance the acquisition through a newly secured $3 billion syndicated credit facility. This move shows its strong commitment to expanding both its offerings and global reach. The acquisition will combine E2open’s cloud-based platform with WiseTech’s logistics software. Together, they will provide customers with a broader and more efficient supply chain solution.

This acquisition follows WiseTech’s long history of acquisitions targeted at consolidating its position in the logistics tech industry and demonstrates the increasing demand for AI-driven and seamless systems for supply chains in a rapidly changing global trade environment.
