Siemens Posts Better-Than-Expected Profit Despite Factory Automation Weakness

February 13, 2025 –Siemens released financial results showing stronger profits than predicted while its factory automation unit managed to surpass difficulties. Industrial profit at the company dropped by 8% to reach €2.52 billion while surpassing the analyst predictions of €2.44 billion.

Siemens generated total revenue growth of 3%, which reached €18.35 billion, above market projection levels of €18.02 billion. The decreased order numbers from last year were higher than expected because Siemens’ core business segments, such as electrification and software solutions, demonstrated solid performance.

Siemens Surpasses Profit Expectations Despite Factory Automation Challenges

CEO Roland Busch labeled the results as a “promising start” to the fiscal year 2025. The executive pointed out factory automation problems exist but is confident about rising demand in digital industries together with smart infrastructure.

Siemens expects its sales to grow between 3% and 7% throughout the entire fiscal year. The company issued a warning about international political risks and economic market fluctuations that might affect worldwide industrial market demand.
